Terms and Conditions

1. General Provisions

1.1. These terms and conditions apply to the United Nations and Parliamentary simulation “Altior Model United Nations Conference, 2022”. This conference is being organized by the Founder (Rishi Singh) President (Divyanshi Chauhan), Secretary General (Pushkar Ghodke), and the Core Altior Team, hereinafter referred to as the Secretariat.
1.2. Applicable Law shall be Indian Law. The place of jurisdiction shall be India.

2. Registration and Formation of Contract

2.1. Registration takes place online via https://linktr.ee/, https://altior.in and official e-mail altiormun3@gmail.com.
2.2. The registration/ participation contract is formed between the person (including, but not limited to, the delegate, executive board, press team) wishing to participate (hereafter referred to as the Participant) and the Secretariat. The purpose of the contract is the participation in the Altior Model United Nations Conference 4.0, 2022 (hereafter the conference).
2.3. The registration process will be considered completed as soon as the online application via Google Forms has been submitted; all the payments have been made in full and have been verified by the Secretariat.
2.4. The Secretariat reserves the right to reject any application in writing within a period of two weeks. In this case, a refund will be paid in full.

3. Payment Policy

3.1. All payments need to be made in full prior to the conference. Cash payments before or during the conference will not be accepted.
3.2. After registering the Participant forfeits any rights to claim a refund for already paid fees.
3.3. The Participant further agrees to carry all banking fees and charges, while making payments in lieu of the conference.

4. Duties of the Participant

By registering for a position at the conference application form, the participant agrees to:
4.1. Provide full and correct information about his personal and professional details;
4.2. Guarantee that the Participant is not currently sought after on the base of criminal charges in any country;
4.3. Adhere to the Code of Conduct established by the Secretariat for the duration of the conference, including but not limited to accepting the authority of the conference staff and to treating other Participants of the conference, guests and staff with respect and dignity as dictated by diplomatic conduct.
4.4. The Association reserves the right to exclude, at the discretion of the Secretary-General, any Participant from the conference who violates the duties laid out above or the diplomatic integrity of the event or impedes by their behaviour the smooth progress of the conference.
4.5. In this case, the Participant is not entitled to claim financial damages.

5. Code of Conduct

5.1. Altior Secretariat issues one participation certificate per delegate one time only. Participants are supposed to download their E-Certificates as soon as they receive it. Altior Secretariat does not issue any certificates, more than once.
5.2. You hereby certify that all information submitted is truthful and accurate. Any falsification of any information submitted will terminate their participation in Altior Model United Nations Conference and future Altior Model United Nations Conference activities and may result in legal actions.
5.3. You certify that all materials produced for this conference will be original work. Plagiarism has zero tolerance at Altior Model United Nations Conference, and should the Secretariat discover instances of plagiarism, you will be disqualified from the conference without refund.
5.4. You are expected and obliged to obey the laws of host country while participating in Altior Model United Nations Conference, 2022. You will be held liable for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid prior to your departure. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against Altior Secretariat because of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you.
5.5. You have full assumption of risk and acknowledge that Altior Model United Nations Conference, and its members, officers, elected representatives and employees, including the Altior Model United Nations Conference Secretariat, do not assume any responsibility for the conduct and activities of the participant.
5.6. You agree to accept and abide by the Code of Conduct published in the Conference Handbook and decided by the Altior Model United Nations Conference’s SecretaryGeneral.
5.7. All employees including interns at Altior Model United Nations Conference are required to claim their payments (if entitled to the same) within the deadline informed to them along with the required documents. No further processing or remuneration will be done after the deadline.

6. Services

Rendered Services rendered by the Altior Secretariat prior and during the conference include:
6.1. Informing applicants no later than 30 days after the end of the registration phase if they were accepted as participants at the conference;
6.2. Informing the participants in due time about the schedule and changes to it;

7. Ownership

7.1. Altior Secretariat reserves the right to utilize all the data submitted and to collect data in the form of photographs or videos during the conference and social events without limitations.
7.2. All participants agree that no data, results, and materials from Altior Model United Nations Conference, 2022 will be disseminated by means of publications, reports, conferences, or any other form without permission from Altior Secretariat of which these data, results, and materials are its exclusive property.
7.3. Altior Secretariat reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. If any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on the Altior Model United Nations Conference’s Social Media handles immediately. Please check the latest information posted therein to keep yourselves informed of any changes.

8. Termination

The Altior Secretariat reserves the right to cancel the conference in case of incidents of force majeure, including but not limited to power failures, natural disasters, global and local epidemics, natural disasters and armed conflicts.

9. Liability

The participant waives all and any claims against the conference involving compensation in part or in whole, of damages or losses incurred in association to participation in the conference. Secretariat shall not be responsible for any mishap during the course of committee sessions.

In the case of the violations of the above terms and conditions, the Altior Secretariat has the right o suspend the participant from the Altior Model United Nations Conference 4.0, 2022. The decisions taken by the President and Secretary General shall be final and binding in all matter pertaining to the conference.
